Curt Cross — Vice President

Curt Cross serves as Vice President of the Eastern Plumas Recreation District Board of Directors and brings a lifetime of practical, hands-on experience to the District.

A longtime professional truck driver, Curt has spent much of his working life around trucks, equipment, machinery and the day-to-day problem solving necessary to keep things operating safely and reliably. He is an experienced mechanic and an all-around "fix-it" person who understands that building a community facility is only the beginning — it also has to be properly operated, maintained and cared for over the long term.

That experience will be particularly valuable as EPRD works toward development of its proposed Chilcoot Community Park and Recreation Center. From buildings and grounds to vehicles, recreational equipment and other infrastructure, Curt brings a practical perspective to planning projects that can be realistically maintained by a small rural recreation district.

Curt believes EPRD should enhance the quality of life for people throughout Eastern Plumas County, with recreational opportunities that serve families, youth and seniors alike. He supports creating a welcoming community gathering place where residents of different ages can participate in activities, spend time outdoors and connect with one another.

As Vice President, Curt combines common sense, mechanical know-how and a willingness to roll up his sleeves and get the job done. His experience will help EPRD not only build for the future, but take care of what it builds for generations to come.
