The District was established in 2002 and all its documents are open to the public. If you are interested in obtaining copies of our documents please contact us by sending a request under the contact page. We will do our best to answer your questions and get you the documents you need. Please allow us time to respond as all our Directors are volunteers and we meet only once a month. It is our goal to comply and fulfill your request.

The Eastern Plumas Recreation District will be recognized for its quality, barrier-free, and safe recreational services and facilities that contribute to the overall wellness of citizens and visitors, promote healthy lifestyles, and enhance the unique character of our area.

OUR MISSION

The Mission of the Eastern Plumas Recreation District is to provide, promote, encourage, support ,and sustain a wide varitety of recreation activities and initiate the construction of quality facilities, programs, and recreational activities that enrich the lives of all citizens in our communty.

Eastern Plumas Recreation District is fully committed to providing accessible facilities, elements and channels of communication to all members of the public. As part of this commitment, Eastern Plumas Recreation District has a policy of providing an accessible website compatible with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1) and commercial screen reading software. All features of the website are coded to allow individuals with vision and other impairments to understand and use the website to the same degree as someone without disabilities. We welcome feedback and can often resolve issues in a timely manner if they arise.

Compliance Officer

Eastern Plumas Recreation District has designated a compliance officer for website disability-related accommodations. The compliance officer has received training in website accessibility and updates the site in accordance with those best practices. Contact our accessibility officer to report an issue.

In addition to testing with users with a wide range of disabilities and coding our website to WCAG standards, Eastern Plumas Recreation District regularly scans its website to ensure ongoing compliance, and makes timely changes to any inaccessible changes, if any are found.
