Developing the JHSB has been a major focus of the District, but it continues to seek funding to support all types of recreation opportunities in eastern Plumas County including trails, community parks and facilities and community and recreational events. Recently the District facilitated grants to improve trails for ATVs (All Terrain Vehicles) bordering the Sierra Valley benefiting the eastern end of the county and provides Iron-Man event training for local youth. The District also owns a five acre parcel on Hwy 70 in Chilcoot, CA which can provide the eastern end of the district with a future community park.

channels of communication to all members of the public. As part of this commitment, Eastern Plumas Recreation District
